You guys talked about Locusts creating a "circle" around their target, I know sentries do this, so I copied their AI process.

Is this the behaviour you guys witnessed before?

This is what I've changed in VSRDev for the time being.
The problem it introduces is they don't care about range anymore, they slowly close in as they slowly form a circle.

Resembles it near perfectly although they didnt use to get so close. They use to sit out about 120-150 away. Looks great though cant wait to use them again!

Wouldn't they just get killed by defenses that way?

does [CraftClass]::blastDist not fix the range?

Also try that ANS setting to use weapon range ? make sure aiRange is in the G file.

Discussing the overall effectiveness of locust AI

Right now they perform like mtr bikes which basically stay grouped together and fire on target however the problem is locust are line of sight shooters with a tracer which ultimately leads to the locust in the back killing the ones in the front. With them spreading out (like they use to) it allows them to be effective again when in the field, defending or attacking base.
