As far as I know only the patches are available via download? Be care if downloading the game itself and scan it before trying to install as it could be a bogus site. Let us know if it is downloadable though. :ymparty:

Don't mind Edgrr, he doesn't look around the site much. The "To All Returning Players" sticky gives you everything you need (link).

You can also still purchase copies of the game online should you wish to avoid illegal downloads. Most of us don't care.

Thanks for the help, still lost though, I do have the game on disk but don't think it will work with Vista? Battle Zone 1 doesn't.

Hello, BZ2 will work on Vista (also Win 7 and 8.1). To install from CD do this: insert CD (obviously) | the auto 'popup' installer will not work because it is 16bit .. so, you have to navigate to 'D:\setup\setup.exe' on the CD (assuming it is your D drive) and run that (this will work because setup.exe is 32 bit).

Next, you want to download and install the latest updates for BZ2 (1.3.6.5) which fixes many bugs and online multiplayer. Follow the link below for instructions:
viewtopic.php?f=10&t=4527

I hope this helps, and let me know if you run into problems.
~Juggs

To clarify Juggz' instructions, you want to run D:\setup\setup.exe, NOT D:\setup.exe (the one that doesn't work).

I guess you're right. I was under the impression BZII was not free due to copyrights laws. It's cool that the game is free for the taking. :ymparty:

Um, no. The copyrights last for at least 70 years after publication, no exceptions. You can't legally download any of the BZ games. You're more than welcome to download them illegally though, it's not as though anybody cares.

I don't think Mr. Scorp realized what strokes the OP was referring to... The ones that happen due to bloodclots in the brain. Serious stuff.
